1) What program do you offer?

We offer one focused pathway: the Sterile Processing Certification Program delivered in Campus, Hybrid, or Online formats. All formats share the same outcomes and certification prep.

 

2. Does Milay Institute have the credentials to provide training?

Yes. Milay Institute is a Verified Exempt Institution in compliance with California state regulations under the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). As the training division of Milay Mechanical, we also follow a certified ISO 9001 quality management system and maintain affiliations with recognized bodies such as CBSPD, HSPA, and the California Board of Registered Nursing (CEP #17567)—ensuring our programs meet both regulatory and industry standards.

3. Are your certificate programs eligible for national certification exams?

Yes. Our programs are aligned with recognized certification bodies such as CBSPD and HSPA. Students are prepared to sit for exams like CRCST, CBSPD Technician Certification.

4. What are the admission requirements?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED. Certain programs may require additional documentation, health clearances, or background checks depending on clinical placement requirements.

5) Is an externship required to graduate?

No. Graduation requires completing program hours and competencies. Externship is optional and offered through partner facilities.

6. Is job placement assistance available after graduation?

Yes. Through our partnership with Blue Oak HR, a licensed staffing and recruitment agency, all job placement services are provided—including resume building, interview coaching, externship coordination, and direct job referrals to healthcare and technical employers. Blue Oak HR serves as the exclusive placement partner for Milay Institute graduates.

3) What’s the difference between Campus, Hybrid, and Online
  • Campus: In-person lectures + on-site skills labs.

  • Hybrid: Online theory (LMS) + scheduled on-campus labs (same syllabus as Campus).

  • Online: 100% online theory; no clinical site is required to earn the certificate.

8. What makes Milay Institute different from other vocational schools?

We integrate real-world technologies like VR simulation, AI-driven labs, and ISO 9001 quality systems directly into our training—ensuring students are prepared for the environments they’ll work in.

9. Can I tour the campus before enrolling?

Yes. Prospective students are welcome to schedule an in-person campus tour and may also sit in on a live class session to experience our hands-on learning environment first-hand. While we do not offer virtual campus tours, distance learners are invited to join a live class virtually, where they can observe instruction and interact with students and instructors in real time.
